Vista End Of Life

Microsoft® Calls ‘End of Life’ on Windows Vista and Windows XP

What Does This Mean?

Windows Vista™ will be coming to the end of its product support lifecycle along with Windows XP™. In other words, Microsoft® will no longer be supporting Windows Vista™, and all updates for this operating system will be completely stopped. Users of this operating system are advised by Microsoft® to upgrade their software.

Why Upgrade from Windows Vista?

The longer you stay with Windows Vista™, the higher the chance you have of becoming a victim of cyber-crime. Although Windows Vista™ came with a significant improvement, as time goes by cyber-criminals target out of date operating systems due to their vulnerability. Updating your operating system will safeguard you from these external threats and help keep your system more secure with continued Microsoft® mainstream support and patches.

What’s Next?

To find out more on how to upgrade from Windows Vista™ or to simply determine whether an upgrade is compatible with your applications, contact Computers Plus®.  Computers Plus® and Microsoft® have also teamed up to issue upgrade vouchers that are good for an instant $100 off the purchase of any new computer with the trade-in of any Windows Vista™ or Windows XP™ computer.  This voucher can be redeemed at Computers Plus® located at 301 S Green River Rd.  The voucher is located below.
